Treating your favorite foods gently

Gentle frying

Sealed nonstick gentle pans like the Protect Emax Premium (Stiftung Warentest 01/2008 winner for aluminum pans) or the Protect Alux Premium are especially well suited for foods that tend to stick, such as egg dishes, fried potatoes, breaded foods, fish, rice, pasta, vegetables...

Tips for gentle frying

1. Rub a little oil into the pan (place 3-4 drops on a paper towel).
2. Heat at moderate temperature (2/3 of stove power). Never heat the pan at full power.
3. Add more oil to the pan if desired. (This is the flavor carrier for the food being fried.)
4. Place the food in the pan and fry on all sides.

If possible, to ensure an even longer service life, only use kitchen accessories made of plastic or wood, and avoid using knives or sharp-edged or metallic objects in the pan. Do not use scratching or scouring products to clean the pan. To clean after frying, simple wash the pan off under hot running water.

Tips for frying at high temperatures

1. Heat the pan without oil at moderate temperature (2/3 of stove power).
2. Wait 3-4 minutes.
3. Water drop test = Sprinkle a little cold water into the pan with your fingers. If the drops remain clear and dance around in the pan, it has reached the right temperature. If not, go back to Point 2.
4. Carefully wipe the water out of the hot pan!
5. If you want to use oil for frying, add some of it to the pan now. Otherwise, continue with Point 6.
6. Place the food in the pan (without using salt).
7. The food is sticking to the stainless steel? Don’t panic - just wait. After about 2-3 minutes, the meat will release from the bottom of the pan by itself, without burning - guaranteed! You can check this by carefully lifting the edge, without forcing it.
8. Now turn the meat and started again at Point 6.Now you can also season it with salt.
9. If you do not want the meat to be medium, leave it in the pan a little longer. Now the meat will be crisp on the outside and juicy inside.
