Development of the pressure cookerThe history of the modern pressure cooker, as we know it today, was strongly influenced by Fissler from the very beginning. Here are the milestones in the development of the pressure cooker:
1953 Fissler presents the first pressure cooker with a patented multi-level control valve.
1961 Fissler vitavit®royal is equipped with the first resettable safety valve – a world innovation.
1971 Fissler vitavit coronal provides extra safety with a newly patented additional lock in the handle.
1976 Introduction of the Unimatic safety valve with the residual pressure block under the handle.
1994 Fissler vitavit®royal is equipped with the new Euromatic safety valve and complies with the most stringent safety requirements. The cooker can only be opened when the pressure has been released completely.
Safety and convenienceWith the fully perfected Fissler Euromatic, all of today’s Fissler pressure cookers offer a high degree of safety. The integrated residual pressure block only permits the cooker to be opened when the pressure has been released completely.
